Our story
From Energy Floors to Apollios
At Apollios, we believe in the power of innovation and the promise of a sustainable future. Our journey began with a rich heritage, rooted in the pioneering work of Energy Floors, a company that changed the way people think about energy.
Founded in Rotterdam, Energy Floors revolutionised public spaces by introducing interactive solar energy floors that not only generate energy, but also inspire and educate. Today, we are proud to carry this legacy forward under a new name: Apollios.

The name Apollios is inspired by the powerful combination of two ancient Greek gods: Apollo, the god of the sun, music and knowledge, and Helios, the personification of the sun itself.
Together, Apollo and Helios symbolise light, energy and enlightenment – exactly the principles that drive our mission. At Apollios, we are dedicated to harnessing the power of the sun and combining it with advanced technology to create innovative, interactive floors for a brighter, smarter future.
